  • 1953

    • Establishment of company by Peter Erbel, under the name of Erda (= Erbel Dambach)(= Erbel Dambach)
    • Production outsourced to Fröschle in Augsburg, Ulmer Strasse 242

  • 1955

    • Foundation of PERO KG (= Peter Erbel Reinigungsanlagen und Oberflächentechnik)
    • Production at premises of Wolfangel in Esslingen, Milchstrasse 4

  • 1957

    • Production at premises of Frech in Deizisau, Plochinger Strasse 59

  • 1958 – 63

    • First production premises in Augsburg, Eberlestrasse 66

  • 1963 – 69

    • Relocation of production within Augsburg to Leitershofer Str. 40

  • 1964

    • Horst Erbel, son of Peter Erbel, takes over as manager of PERO KG

  • 1968

    • Purchase of factory and site at an industrial estate in Königsbrunn

  • 1969

    • Relocation of production to Königsbrunn, Hunnenstrasse 18, which is still the company headquarters

  • 1972

    • Construction of new production hall

  • 1991

    • Construction of new office block
    • Establishment of dedicated training rooms
    • First showroom and presentation centre for cleaning units

  • 1992

    • Acquisition of GMF (= Gothaer Metallwaren Fabrik) in Gotha, the largest manufacturer of cleaning units in the former GDR
    • Factory in Gotha becomes branch factory of PERO AG

  • 1994

    • Establishment of French subsidiary PERO France S.A.R.L.
    • Acquisition of holding in distribution and service company ZIMMERLI S.A., Switzerland

  • 1999

    • Foundation of subsidiary PERO Corp. in USA

  • 2002

    • Gerd Erbel (3rd generation, i.e. grandson of company founder) is appointed head of technical department

  • 2010

    • Aloisia Erbel becomes Commercial Director
    • Gerd Erbel is promoted to Technical Director

  • 2014

    • Purchase of large retail building adjacent to factory in Königsbrunn Conversion to house Works III and Centre of Competence
    • Company site in Königsbrunn is now double the size of the original factory

  • 2015

    • Official opening of PERO Centre of Competence for technical cleanliness and parts cleaning
    • Over an area of 1,100 m², more than 15 cleaning units are available for cleaning tests and the development of new cleaning methods
    • Establishment of laboratory for technical

  • 2016

    • Extension of production facility in Gotha through the construction of a new factory hall

  • 2018

    • Manuela Böhm (4th generation) joins the PERO Board of Management as an assistant
